WebRAY Unveils a New Paradigm for Proactive Defense in the AI Era at SICW 2026
Publication date:2026/10/15
Recently, the 11th Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) opened in Singapore. As Asia-Pacific’s most established cybersecurity event, SICW 2026 was themed “Cyber at a Crossroads: Shaping the New Cyber Order” and focused on the cybersecurity transformation driven by AI. WebRAY (688651) was invited to showcase its products and solutions at the event, where VP & COO William Wei delivered a keynote sharing cutting-edge AI asset governance technologies and practical methodologies.

Three Critical Questions Targeting Enterprise AI Governance
Technical observations indicate that the large-scale adoption of AI is reshaping the cybersecurity landscape in three ways:
1. The types of exposed AI assets are evolving rapidly. AI agents and LLM inference services are rapidly expanding onto the public internet, with agent assets now outnumbering traditional inference services and emerging as a new category of attack entry point. From 2024 to 2025, AI asset exposure in the Asia-Pacific region grew by 328% year-over-year.
2. The barrier to launching attacks is significantly lower. AI-powered automated scanning and generative exploit development are dramatically increasing attack efficiency, reducing the time required to weaponize AI for attacks to just 24 to 72 hours.
3. The nature of security risks is undergoing a fundamental shift. Risks are evolving from isolated data breaches to complex threats involving model capability abuse, uncontrolled tool calls, and privilege escalation. From 2024 to 2025, attacks targeting advanced collaboration tools increased by 131%, while ransomware attacks quadrupled over four years.
William Wei argued that in the age of AI agent-driven attacks, asset “visibility” has become the greatest risk, and posed three critical questions that cut to the core of AI-era asset protection:
- Do we really know what's exposed? — or are we guessing?
- Do we control what attackers see ?— or are we an open book?
- Is patching keeping up — or is it the bottleneck?
William Wei emphasized that cyber resilience in the AI era is not about spreading resources evenly, but about safeguarding critical assets. To this end, he introduced WebRAY’s “SEE · CONTROL · MAKE” capability framework, which leverages AI to deceive AI, uses deception to counter real threats, and shifts defense from reactive to proactive.
At SICW, WebRAY went beyond showcasing its products and solutions to send a clear message to the industry: establishing a new paradigm of proactive defense for the AI era is no longer a distant concern, but an immediate necessity.
